| SUBSTANCE MISUSE, DRUGS AND ALCOHOL AWARENESS |
For children’s homes in England. Five distinct lessons, age-appropriate case studies involving children aged 7–12, five colourful HTML diagrams, fifteen expandable self-knowledge feedback panels, five case feedback panels and a separate final quiz. This course does not replace first-aid training, clinical advice or local safeguarding procedures.
Recognising substance-related risks, responding to medical emergencies, preventing harm and supporting children in residential care in England.
What you'll learn
Recognise possible substance-related risk without stigma or unsupported diagnosis.
Respond safely to suspected intoxication and poisoning.
Hold age-appropriate preventive conversations.
Identify exploitation and coordinate safeguarding referrals.
Contribute to child-centred support and review plans.
Requirements
- Complete five lessons and practical cases.
- Answer fifteen self-knowledge questions before opening feedback.
- Complete ten-question assessment; suggested pass mark 80%.
